Meet Jonathan

A Neighbor, Not a Career Politician

Local politics matter. Jonathan isn’t here to play games or chase political power — he’s focused on the issues that actually affect our district!

Jonathan McKenna — Republican nominee, Arizona State House, LD26

In His Own Words

My name is Jonathan McKenna and I’m running for State Representative in LD26.

Public service runs in my family. My grandfather, uncle, brother, and cousin all served as state representatives, but I’m not a career politician. I’m someone who lives here, sees what’s happening to our neighborhoods, and refuses to stay quiet about it.

I’ve watched crime, open drug use, homelessness, and rising costs make daily life harder for regular people in this district. Lack of leadership and political theater is a direct cause to this mess. I’m running because I believe it’s going to take someone who isn’t a politician to start fixing it.

I’m focused on results that matter locally: safer streets, lower costs for working people, and cleaner, more livable neighborhoods. That’s it.

His answer starts with three commitments: safe neighborhoods, bringing costs down, and clean, livable streets.

The short version: Jonathan is a neighbor first and a candidate second. Public service is the family trade — his grandfather, uncle, brother, and cousin all served in the State House — but Jonathan took the other path: build a life in the district, watch how decisions at the Capitol actually land on its streets, and speak up when nobody else would. He’s not running to join a political class. He’s running to hold it accountable.

Build Community, Protect Arizona

I’m running to bring real, unapologetic leadership back to the State Capitol. No more harmful social experiments. No more tax burdens forced onto working families. We must protect our communities, our city, and the future of our state.

  • Fiscal Sanity: End the endless tax hikes and crushing new debt. I will vote NO on every Proposition that piles more and more in property taxes onto LD26 homeowners while we’re still paying for the last round of failed spending.
  • Safe Streets: Our laws are not being enforced. Crime and homelessness are exploding because we keep rewarding failure. It’s time law enforcement is allowed to do their job and the courts start enforcing consequences instead of coddling chaos.
  • Cultural Offense: We must stop playing defense against the harmful ideologies being forced on our communities. Enough with the anti-American and anti-family agendas. It’s time to push back and defend what built this country.
  • Family Protection: Parents alone have the right to raise and educate their own children. I will defend our rights against bureaucrats and activists who want to replace them.
  • End Mass Surveillance: Oppose the expansion of Flock cameras and other data-collection systems that track ordinary people without real accountability or consent.
  • Local Results Over Party Games: Focus on what actually improves daily life in LD26 instead of national agendas and political theater.
  • Election Integrity: Secure our elections and make voting matter. LD26 Citizens must decide the future of our district.
  • Build Strong Communities: We need to awaken and mobilize our own young people to register, vote, and get involved here in LD26. Real community is built from the ground up by people who actually care about preserving the American way of life, safety, and character of our neighborhoods.

Out in the District

Jonathan’s view is simple: you earn a district’s trust in person, not from a podium. Want him at your block meeting, your business, or your kitchen table? Invite him — he’ll show up.
