Priority 05
Protect Privacy and Civil Liberties
No mass surveillance of law-abiding residents. Your neighborhood shouldn’t track your every move.
Here’s what makes Jonathan different from most politicians in either party: he believes in accountability for everyone — criminals and government alike. Tougher courts and safer streets, yes. And no license for the government to track ordinary people while it’s at it.
In Jonathan’s words:
Oppose the expansion of Flock cameras and other data-collection systems that track ordinary people without real accountability or consent.
You shouldn’t have to give up your privacy to live in a safe neighborhood. Cameras and databases that log where law-abiding residents drive, park, and pray — without consent, without real oversight — are not public safety. They’re surveillance. Jonathan will treat them that way at the Capitol.
Jonathan's Plan
- Oppose the expansion of Flock cameras and similar tracking systems in our neighborhoods.
- Demand real accountability and consent before any government data collection on ordinary people.
- Apply one standard: accountability for everyone - criminals and government alike.
